Hey I'm Lyndsie

An ivy-league techie turned certified personal trainer (NASM), health coach (ACE), and ninja (yep).

My mission is to help high-achieving women like you live happier, healthier lives by serving up EPIC resources that get you out of your head and into action (*Psst… make sure you sign up for email updates here so you never miss out!)

If you’re wondering why this little slice of the internet came to be (*ahem* – besides the fact that I’m a total, chronic list-making nerd who geeks out over health and self-development) it’s quite simply because…

I have a major problem with
The Band-Aid Approach

We live in a society where it’s become the norm to cover up a problem and its symptoms rather than treating it at the source.

For example…

✨ Defaulting to medication for every little ache and pain instead of focusing on how we can change our lifestyle and behaviors to eliminate the issue altogether.

✨ Drinking excessively, overeating, or overworking (any other recovering perfectionists here?) to cope with emotional stresses instead of doing the difficult work of confronting our struggles head-on.

✨ Constantly diet-hopping and buying “healthy” snacks with ingredient lists that read like a chemistry experiment in an attempt to lose weight instead of focusing on moving our body regularly and fueling it with whole, natural foods.

✨ Using the number of likes we got on our latest selfie as a metric for our self worth, instead of learning to love and find validation from within ourselves.

The list goes on…

All of this is wreaking havoc on our bodies and minds, with each solution creating more problems than it solves.

This is because many of the “solutions” we turn to today aren’t solutions at all… they’re band-aids.

They simply cover the wounds. They don’t heal them.

But it doesn’t have to be that way…

You belong
in the driver’s seat
And together, we’re going to get you there.

The key to living a happier, healthier life begins with YOU – stemming from your thought patterns, beliefs, and habits.

The problem is, we show up on this planet equipped with brains and bodies that no one ever gives us an instruction manual for.

When you don’t understand how your brain and body work, you’re at their mercy – you’re a passenger along for the ride that is your life.

Sure you might chime in with some suggested directions now and again, but ultimately you’re powerless to steer the vehicle where you want it to go.

If you understand how the vehicle (in this case – YOU) works, then suddenly, you have the power to grab the wheel and intentionally take yourself to your dream destination.

When I realized that following the directions society gives us for “success and happiness” wasn’t working for me, I knew I needed to get out of the passenger seat and become the driver in my own life story. I began reading and researching what science has to say about happiness and fulfillment, studying high performers and their habits, experimenting, and getting to a place of brutal but compassionate honesty with myself.

It hasn’t been a smooth ride, there’ve been plenty of detours, but through this process (which is still – and always will be – in progress), I’ve radically transformed my life, and I want to share what I’ve learned, and am continuing to learn with you, in hopes that it will make your life better too!

My Approach
Health is about balance

In the past when I thought about health, visions of painfully long cardio sessions and choking down green juice came to mind. Thanks but no thanks.

Turns out I was missing a BIG part of the picture.

1) Health is not one size fits all. It’s critical to find out what you actually like and what works for you, or else maintaining a healthy lifestyle will never be sustainable.

2) Health is about BALANCE. It extends beyond the physical and into our mental, emotional and spiritual state as well. Focusing on one area while neglecting the others, will NOT result in a happy, healthy lifestyle over the long-term.

The Four Key Sources of Energy

Here on Positifity, we’ll explore how to optimize your life to keep the four energy sources effectively balanced and working together, so that you can be the person you most want – and deserve – to be.

It all starts with
a simple decision

I know what it’s like to be in that seemingly inescapable mental space of “never good enough.”

I know what it’s like to be ambitious and to set big goals for yourself but yet, despite your best intentions, life gets in the way and you just can’t seem to make the time to focus on them, so you either slow down or throw in the towel altogether.

I know what it’s like to do everything “right” – to have a diploma from a top-tier university, to find that perfect partner (on paper) – yet still feel like you’re not as happy as you could be, and like there must be something more.

The moment my life began to change was the moment I finally realized that no matter what tasks I crossed off my to-do list or what outward signs of success I collected, they would never be enough until I changed my relationship with myself.

The foundation of a happy, healthy lifestyle is the love and respect that you have for yourself, but getting to this place is much easier said than done. That’s why I want to provide you with tools to take you from “I wish…” to “I am…” so you can finally start seeing the results that you want in your life.

Consider me your No B.S. Bestie on your path to epicness. And since we’re BFFs now, I should probably at least know your name, right? Shoot me an e-mail and let me know the biggest challenge that you’re facing right now or what you’re hoping to get out of Positifity (srsly, do it).
